PMAV and the Positive Behaviour Support training and tools provided by Martha McGinn Training and Consultancy (now PETMA) resulted in a 40% decrease in overall incidents and a significant reduction in the severity of the incidents which did occur. In particular the training changed the attitudes of staff

Highely Recommend Positive Behaviour Support (PETMA) Training Maura Kelly

I have been working in this area for a number of years and attended numerous courses on The Management of challenging behaviours. I can state without any hesitation that the distinct approach Positive Behaviour Support (Now PETMA) that Martha takes in delivering this course has been a highly valued experience by our staff. The learning from the course has without doubt had a direct impact on how we now support people whose behaviour challenges

Highly Recommend Martha McGinn Sean Molloy

A training Need Analysis was conducted by Martha McGinn (reviewing incidents of behaviour of concern) with staff earlier this year and the course was tailored by her following this. Hence staff found it very appropriate and relevant to their role and the group they cared for. Ms McGinn was a very effective instructor with excellent communication skills and made good use of visual aids. She established a good rapport with our multi-cultural qualified and unqualified staff who engage fully with both the practical and theoretical components of the course. The feedback from staff is very positive. The course has up skilled them to deal more affectively with residents in their care whose management may present problems.  The staff feel better equipped to devise strategies to prevent these difficulties arising or if they do arise, to manage them in a safer and more meaningful manner. We look forward to having Ms. McGinn returning and making a valuable contribution to staff development

Very positive results

"The programme Positive Behaviour Support (Now PETMA) assisted me to get my teenage son out of his room and back to school after 18 months of refusing to leave his room. He then went on to complete his junior certificate with tremendous success"
