DoGAP© - HIQA Digitised Self-Inspection Tool

The DoGAP© tool is a self- assessment tool which allows organisations to become their own “inspector” using the process of triangulation to gather their evidence. The focus of the self - assessment allows organisations to replicate the HIQA inspections by guiding:

  • Consultation with relatives, staff, children, young people adults or older persons, in their care
  • Observing practices
  • Reviewing documentation
  • Triangulate their findings.

DoGAP© toolThe DoGap© Digital Inspector Software Tool empowers organisations, frontline managers and workers, to provide visibility and insight into their centres to help raise safety and quality standards. The inspection management software, also lets your team collect consistent data, standardise operations, send reports, identify failed areas and get problems resolved with this easy-to-use checklist software, combined with the web platform.

Set against HIQA standards, regulations and themes designed by a former senior HIQA inspector, the HIQA Self-Inspection DoGAP© is a Real-Time Inspection Digital Management tool for tracking and managing inspections which allows single or multi-centre organisations enable a process of continuous improvement.

The guided tool empowers organisations and in particular front line managers to complete self-assessments in their areas, and provides organisations with a framework to create clear goal-driven Quality Improvement Plans, by:

  • Carrying out their own self-assessments
  • Immediately generate Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs)
  • View and track improvement progress.

We have tools developed to meet the HIQA regulations, themes and standards for Child, Adult and Older Person Residential Care Services. Our Continuous Improvement Tool creates a structure to review HIQA themes and identify gaps, allowing all stakeholders to get on the same page. Developed by a former senior HIQA inspector.

Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) identify gaps across your organisation and generate quality improvement plans.

DoGap© facilitates the engagement of stakeholders including HIQA in the review of performance across the entire organisation. It facilitates a common understanding of the priorities and resource allocation required to enable continuous improvement. Our DoGap© tool allows organisations to log actions in response to areas of insufficient evidence, which can be used at both local and organisational level.
